Hi Everyone! My name is Hiam Hafizuddin and I am the founder and national director of Miss Bangladesh US (formerly known as Miss Bangladesh USA). 

After years of success and involvement in American pageantry, I founded Miss Bangladesh US with my vision to inspire female empowerment for Bangladeshi American women. It is my dream to have young Bangladeshi America girls be  recognized and admired for upholding the highest standards of womanhood and fulfilling the cultural obligations of being Bangladeshi descent. 

The Bangladeshi community has faced long standing prejudices towards women and I wish to be an advocate to end this. By creating Miss Bangladesh US I hope to serve as an activist for female empowerment and appreciation and have this event promote greater cultural awareness by inviting those not only of Bangladeshi background to attend, but rather have this as an all-inclusive event. I believe this event will allow for the much needed appreciation and representation of women in our community and pave the way for gender equality.

 

It is my goal to have this pageant to serve as a platform for Bangladeshi American women to voice their concerns on social issues while also highlighting to the greater community their talents and power as women. It will be an opportunity for them to receive recognition in our community and hopefully evoke change and allow our community to become more accepting.

Miss Bangladesh US began as a Facebook based pageant on March 15th, 2015 and in less than a year it has evolved into an international phenomenon. With recognition from countries across the globe, in its second year the premier Miss Bangladesh US live pageant and competition took place in Chicago, Illinois. We have also gained franchise with the Miss Asia Pacific International pageant and the winner from our pageant has the ability to represent Bangladesh at Asia's largest and oldest pageant.  

I am so thrilled to see great responses from our greater community in support of this event and have been enjoying every moment of working with each years' contestants.

Miss Bangladesh US is a vision, a dream, a purpose and above all a platform.
